Talent Development Specialist
 
Brighton Center, a not for profit agency, has a full-time Talent Development Specialist opportunity for an individual who would like to make a career in a not-for-profit organization.  We are looking for an individual to work in an organization that helps its customers become self-sufficient.
 
This position will Assist individuals with obtaining a self-sufficient career and provide solutions to support workforce development in the Northern Kentucky region.  This will be accomplished by providing Basic Career services and registered services including Intensive, Training and Follow-Up services to customers via the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act.
 
Job Responsibilities include (not inclusive):
  • Facilitate group sessions, including: Kentucky Career Center Orientation, Job Search Success Workshops, Professionals Networking Group, Rapid Response events and/or Green Light Networking groups as well as other workshops as needed.
  • Provide and/or interpret work-skill assessments and career interest inventories.
  • Provide assistance and communicate with individuals prior to and throughout training. Training is to include enrollment, completion, termination, and follow-up procedures. Communication with appropriate personnel is expected.
  • Assist employers with meeting their workforce demands.
  • Accurate and timely documentation of all customer services.
 
Requirements (not inclusive):
  • Bachelor degree in a human services field or equivalent of 2 years direct service employment experience including:
    • knowledge, skills, and abilities with case management
    • data entry and reporting
    • proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
    • public speaking ability
    • great customer service skills
  • Knowledge of local WIOA policies/procedures is a plus
  • Ability to travel to the 8 northern counties in KY. Office located in Covington.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Current and valid auto insurance
  • Reliable transportation
  • Attendance is crucial to position
Pay Range: $29,000 -31,000 annually  (non-exempt)
