DJJ has an exciting opportunity as an Assistant Controller supporting the Brokerage Services group and at our downtown Cincinnati office.

Position Overview
1. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to effectively interface with all levels of company personnel.
2. Contribute to continuous improvement process, including participation in special projects.
3. Ability to collaborate with others.
4. Demonstrate initiative on projects and assignments.
5. Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
6. Willingness to provide high quality service to internal and external customers.
7. Preparation and distribution of monthly financial statement reports to both internal users and to parent company.
8. Preparation of information for external auditors on a quarterly and annual basis.
9. Participation in the annual SOX audit
10. Serve as point of contact between Corporate and company divisions (as well as parent company) to monitor compliance with accounting guidelines, and assist with problem resolution.
11. Manages and assists in the career development of junior level accounting staff.
12. Active role in the monthly forecasting process, and the development of annual Budget documents
13. Prepare and maintain documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls.
14. Maintain assigned GL account analyses and review those prepared and posted on financial website by others.

Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related area.
2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in public accounting or relevant corporate accounting experience.
3. Experience with Oracle or other ERP financial software system.
4. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (excel, access).
5. Position requires occasional travel.
6. Masters of Business Administration or CPA strongly preferred
